Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Brendan Gallagher, DDS, doing business as OMFS Weightroom (“OMFS Weightroom,” “we”). By creating an account or using OMFS Weightroom you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

1. What OMFS Weightroom is

An online study resource for oral and maxillofacial surgeons preparing for the ABOMS Oral Certifying Examination: flashcards, spoken oral practice, AI examiners, case practice and progress tracking. OMFS Weightroom is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or any exam board.

2. Your account

• You sign in with one Google account. Accounts are for one person only; you may not share, sell or transfer yours.
• One active session at a time: signing in on a new device signs out the previous one.
• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that are shared, used to copy content, or otherwise break these terms.

3. Plans and payment

• Monthly ($50/month) renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your Account page; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
• 3-month Study Season Package ($124.45) and 6-month Study Package ($212.45) are one-time payments for a fixed period. They do not renew.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Prices may change for future purchases or renewals; we’ll give monthly subscribers at least 30 days’ notice.
• Refunds and the 6-month retake guarantee are described in our Refund Policy.

4. Our content, and how you may use it

We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use OMFS Weightroom for your own exam preparation. You may not:

• copy, download, screenshot for distribution, record, reproduce, sell or publish our cards, cases or other content;
• scrape, bulk-export or use automated tools to access the service, or use its content to train AI models;
• reverse-engineer the app or try to get around access limits;
• use the service to build a competing product.

Some figures come from openly licensed sources and are shown with their credit and license; links to other websites are provided for convenience and those sites have their own terms.

5. Educational use only

• Content is for exam preparation. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for your own clinical judgment, current literature or institutional protocols. Never use it for decisions about a patient.
• We work to keep content accurate and current, but medicine changes and errors happen. Please report anything that looks wrong.
• AI features (grading, coaching, explanations and examiners) can make mistakes. Treat their output as study help, not as authority.
• We can’t promise any exam result. Your outcome depends on your own preparation and performance.

6. Voice features

Oral Mode, Drive Mode and case practice use your microphone. Your spoken answers are sent for transcription and grading as described in our Privacy Policy. Don’t say patient-identifying information. Never use Drive Mode in a way that distracts you from driving safely; set it up before you drive and follow local laws.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, add or remove content and features. We aim for the service to be available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Disclaimer and limits of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the service and cancel any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms; if we end your access without cause, we’ll refund the unused portion of a prepaid plan.

10. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Before filing any claim, contact us through our support form and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any dispute not resolved that way will be decided by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
